Anyone got one of these cameras ? I am considering buying one. I am also interested on any opinions of similarly price (500 ish) cameras (maybe JVC GR-DX95) ??

Bought one a couple of weeks ago and it is pretty good. Excellent zoom if you can keep ya hand still enough. The only thing is it makes a click noise on the tape when you zoom. May be able to turn it off but havent worked it out yet......oh and it doesnt come with the leads to plug into PC. Dont believe them if they say it does it DOESNT........
good camera though, payed £349 including case and free tapes

Not a bad camera for the money, the cam is cheap and compact which means that it's easy to take on holiday etc, something that you'd not do with a bigger cam.
Plus points are also that there are very few things to fiddle with so it's a great point and shoot cam for the occasional user (nearly sid the Missis!).
Minus point- low light (indoor) performance is average.
