NWA, Ice Cube, Ice T, Dr Dre, Wu-tang-clan and many more.....
G-Unit are heavier than 50cent on his own. But I still like them.
Personally I wasn't impressed with 2 Pac or Biggie with a few exceptions.

He couldnt exist in the hip hop and r&b world if he was racist- there are far worse allegedly racist lyrics in the hip hop community

Tupac and Biggie old school? Pah!
When i were a lad it was Afrika Bambaataa, The Fatboys, Run DMC (the first time around), Mantronix, Grandmaster Flash et al.
Now that's what i call hip hop!

Words 'O' strength WB
Biggie and 2Pac are as old skool as Jay-Z/P Diddy are quality.
As much as I loved the GMF stuff I prefer the early PE, Scott La Rock/KRS, EPMD stuff. Anyone remember Tim Westwood's rap show on Late-Night-Late ?
I'm outta here, peace-peace-peace...

JGM. I think you're probably the only person here who thinks the Chainsaw Texas Massacre is about a bunch of lumberjack tearing down a south american rainforest by your statement.

A bit of a flashback thread for me!
At 15 I was listening to Public Enemy and Run DMC!
I have a massive appreciation for the 'proper' old stuff!
I listen to 50 cent, Eminem (less so now), Jay-Z, etc
But you still can beat a bit of Dre!
I wasn't a fan of Snoop, but hearing the more recent stuff, I'm going to relisten to the older tracks!
The new Westwood compilation sounds cool from the TV ad, but has anyone heard it and recommends it?

I used to think it was all a load of cak and overrated but having gotten into it Eminem is one class act. He has some real talent and most of the black dudes in the industry acknowledge that too, and that he is #1 presently. He is the only one who can talk about stuff other than the usual guns, hos, and you know whats.
Dr Dre is fun and I like your Raekwon and you Wu Tang etc. but Eminem really is a cut above, and he sure isn't racist.
The one I don't rate so much is 50cent. Can't understand the fuss
And this is from a die hard Pink Floyd fan.
8 Mile - Cracking film too Watch it
Try actually listening to some of his lyrics etc. you none-believers
