this is such a let down.the game play is simply dire its so much slower and harder to control the players.

that second player is near impossible to use especially on the xbox its more of a gimmic than anything else

the only good thing is the graphics and the crowds actually sing real chants but apart from that its very poor,i will be taking this back on friday for a better game.

I agree completly - the whole off the ball thing is a seriously anoying, cr@ppy gimmick.

It may be OK when playing the console, but against a real person you simply don't have time to use it - even though they slowed the game down massively[img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img][img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img][img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img][img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img][img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

So to sum up:
Fifa 2003 - looks OK, plays great
Fifa 2004 - looks good, plays sh1te

Fifa 98/99 were best IMHO. All the fancy graphics have made it slower and theyve made it a lot harder to get past players by dribbling. Crossing is harder as is heading/overhead kicks.

Prefer 2003 on the gamecube - seems a bit more flowing than on Xbox.
