I love Poker play at william hill online, only last week was playing 3 card and got a straight flush @ 40 / 1. I was well chuffed ( even though I blew the lot lol )( Sorry a straight flush is all in a line of the same suit i.e. 8, 9 10 hearts )
Its easy to play

Imlach, Only someone who does not know how to play would say that.
Its one of the most skillful games you can play, thats why there are people who play for a living.(and a very good living at that)
edit for spelin

Lol have the odd game with mates but no proper rules. Make em up on the night but still a good laugh. Usually play texas hold em (I think its called). 3 cards turned, another 2 left face down so a sh*te hand can turn into a great one.

Poker is for mugs. You're relying on luck in terms of the cards you are dealt
I play online pretty much every night and I play williamhill (name is splats). If anyone else plays WH what is your login name??
Poker is the best game ever invented

Imlach I don't doubt what you have been doing and have been very impressed and want to drill you brain to find your secrets but at the moment my poker play is largely recreational. I'm improving all the time so it could become a nice secondary income

I also assume that if your playing is "recreational" for now, you're losing as much as you're winning
Not trying to demean it - just interested....maybe *I* could make money on it too?

Imlach
Firstly it's not allways about money, There is entertainment value as well
Secondly I have not kept proper tabs on how much I have spent playing poker in the past year but its probably round £2400 and I have won about £2000 at least in that time so £400 for a years worth of doing something I love is, to quote the Duke "CHEAP AS CHIPS".
And thirdly You should start playing High stake poker as soon as possible cause if you can read other players like you can read the stocks you will be a millionaire by next friday
Fourthly i think your figures are bullsh1t and nothing you can say or do will convince me other wise

Had a nightmare bad-beat a few mins ago.
I had Q 10 and the flop came Q 10 7
I bet and was raised to I reraised and it was called by a few peeps
Next card is an Ace and I'm concerned
I check, someone bets - I call satisfied that I have outs and the pot is worth it.
Next card is a 10 so I've made my full house Q,Q,10,10,10.
I bet and fortunatly he only has enough to call. He then turns his pocket rockets for A,A,A,10,10.
Ironic that the 10 on the river hurt me when it looked certain to secure me the pot. It happens though

I'm probably up financially, and I'm better than 80% of the people at the table. There are plenty of fish to pay my way
Poker is probably one of the most skillful games ever. Imlach you must have knowledge that allows you to know which way to bet on the markets going (i.e. up or down??)

I dont think imlach is a liar. He is a reasonable guy and I've read into what he does. Think of it as a se-saw with the fulcrum off-centre. You set how much you risk but you can gain considerably more
