My stepson is after a double high sleeper bed form the Argos catalogue, but as usual they are out of stock. Does anybody know of any other suppliers of such things?

Are ALL of Argos' shops OOS?

Sometimes they are in one, but not in another. Give them a ring and see if any local-ish Argos have them.

Homebase seem to stock similar beds to Argos. Also John Lewis (although they charge more for the privelege, but I think they price match).

Is it the wooden one? if so, the Argos one is really good quality - really surprised me. Made in Denmark. Bizzarely we've actally got a spare brand new one in the garage they sent by mistake that we're selling......but we live in Shetland....

Wooden bunk beds from Argos almost definately made by a company called Thuka... one of the few decent pieces of furniture that Argos sell. Whatever you do don't buy any leather sofas, shoddy doesnt even begin to describe them.

Don't buy beds from Argos. Unless you have endless days spare, to sit around at home waiting for deliveries that don't arrive.
Have no idea about the quality, after 3 days of missed deliveries canceeled the order.

Sorted, he originally wanted the steel framed one as it comes with a desk underneath, whereas the pine one doesn't. He's now decided to go for the pine one, which is in stock, and build his own desk under it.

Just don't get sofa bed from Argos. My mum ordered 1 for my sister's room, had to fit in certain size gap, so 1 was ordered, but when it arrived, it wouldn't fit, so assumed wrong one was sent. Replacement arrived and that was identical. Wrong friggin dimensions in catalogue so asked for money back. Waited weeks, still no cheque back. Phoned up, response was "oh, your card has been credited". Problem? Mum paid by cheque, they got the card no. from order Mum placed few months previously!!!
