Simple question, but don't want to get mixed up with that mad Yank and his lot. would prefer to stay as far away as possible actually.
Anyway...

Anyone make a recommendation on:
1) Food (£20/30 a head type of place)
2) Drinks (decent lager and not full of ponces)
3) Entertainment (girlie or non girlie related)
4) Pub to watch the Scotland game in on Wednesday night (dutch or Jock, don't mind)
5) Nightclub for Thursday night

cheeers,
Col

Drove down to London on Sunday to visit Olympia, what a shát place it is too.(London not Olympia)

The traffic was horrendous and I was informed it was the norm.

Respect to those who deal with it daily, I couldn't.

Went to Belgo in Covent Garden on Saturday, lots of lovely food and more Belgium beers than you can drink (well more than I could anyway).

Off to London tomorrow for a meeting down the road from where Dubya is staying (Buckingham Palace). Anybody know of any movement restrictions in place?

Problem areas because of marches, protests and closed streets etc will be around Victoria, Westminster, Whitehall and Trafalgar Square, west end shouldn't be affected too much, nor will the Underground (any more than usual I mean)

There's a great Thai place on Wardour street - name escapes me.

Great food for £20 PH inc a couple of beers.

Or, if you're prepared to wander off the beaten track try Robato's. By far the best food I've ever had, anywhere. Tapas, and you can stuff yourself and get pissed for around £20 PH. South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall.

Have a look at toptable.co.uk for places to eat and deals - 2 for 1 etc.

As for things to do - London Eye, Madam Tussauds, Dungeons, Leicester Square, China Town, open top bus tour (great in this weather with a hip flask!)
