No apologies for posting this in NSR rather than sports, just watched the game and it was cracking considering the conditions.
24-7 i recon that could be classed as a 'humping'
Good luck in the final.

Great result. Looking forward to next Saturday.
However, there are people at work who will have recorded the match (j.r-xrs for one) abd SN is his homepage.
Please move this spoiler to Sports.

Spoiler ? Sorry family XRS, Bollox - this will be all over the web + TV. If people really dont want to know the score its up to them to isolate themselves from the world's media before they watch it - not go round browsing the web.
Congrats the England team, just hope its raining next week aswell

As I've said in the Sports forum- I just sat in a bar full of fanatical French rugby fans and watched their much vaunted team get blown away. I gave back as good as I got insults wise and oddly they seemed to shut up towards the end, some of them even slinked off before the matched finished . In your face Monsieur le Grenouille!

England deserve full praise for playing the match correctly for the weather conditions and also for their outstanding performance. They had an answer to all the moves. Really looking forward to the final. I think they must be in a position to win even if it is the Aussies at home.

Boring match, and typical boring England play.
Like the Wales game, England did not score a try. Makes for unexciting rugby. Both the Wales match and today's match, at least the opponents scored tries.
You're lucky to have Jonny, as without him, I don't see what there is to shout about.

Yes.
A mere 1 to their 3.
But it's winning that counts, so who cares? Oh - the chip on the shoulder people do!!

Boring ?
Cant have been watching the same game as me. Sorry but as much as some elements of the press etc would wish, rugby is not just about wings running the length of the pitch and scoring with nice photogenic dives across the line.
Some times - when the occasion calls for it, when the pressure is huge, when the game is tight, when its pissing down with rain - you have to play a different style of rugby. A style England worked out and played well. If you cant get excited about watching a well drilled pack roll a maul to within range for a drop goal (performed after a sensational dummy and side step to send the defence the wrong way), stick to watching a noncy game like football
Its not co-incedence that the 2 teams who played the most expansive rugby will not be in the final. You need more to your game I'm afraid, something neither the Kiwis nor France had on the day.
Au revoir the frenchies - bring on the Wallabies

I stand corrected regarding 1 England try in the Wales game. Apologies
Still think England play with no style & flair. Yes, they do grind out a win, but it's not that exciting to watch.

Its the result that counts. I thought it was an exciting match even though England didnt get a try. But I think 3 drop goals is an impressive feat. Remember the conditions were appauling for free flowing hand passing rugby. I think its the quietest match Ive seen Robinson in, and you cant call him a boring player.
France were simply outplayed. Think there is a hint of sour grapes from the above postee.

No sour grapes - just trying to be objective Just don't enjoy watching that style of play. Also a shame that Michalak had a bad game. Would have made been nice to seen a closer score towards the end had he got his kicks in order initially.
Robinson had a quiet game - in fact, saw him getting barged about quite a bit. Guess his weight counts against him a lot - only really sees action when there is empty field ahead of him....

Dont remember the filed being "empty" for his try against the welsh
He was still putting the tackles in today aswell. Fair enough if *you* dont enjoy watching that style game but dont deny the talent and effort that was displayed to get the result in those conditions - personally I was gripped for the entire match.

They played the conditions. You want to see free flowing 'proper' rugby tune into the wooden spoon match and dont bother watching the final.
