Dude

I know you from cardiff- any idea where i can find out if the severn bridge is shut or not?? Any website or number or anything which has up to the minute info?

I work in cardiff on saturday nites- if its shut i can come the long way avoiding the bridge..but need to know which way to go before i set off.

Just heard the bridge is open at the moment but down to 50mph.

We now have two bridges acrooss the Severn ,the new one has wind deflectors so will only shut in severe cases of high winds.

Take the M4 not the M48 which will see you over the new bridge. You should be OK on that unless it gets worse.

If not your only alternative is around Gloucester.

erm...im coming from gloucester/cheltenham lol

i know the alternative route- but its a pain and it takes longer.

I usually take the M4 anyway....so this one doesnt shut unless its mega mega bad???

The old one is still shut and will be for a few hours yet. New one has speed restriction with delays at the mo. Leave early.

If your coming from Cheltenham go down the M50. Thatll be OK.
