I was caught on camera and clocked at 83mph in a 60 limit on a 3 lane road, what fine am i likly to recieve? I currently have a clean licience.

i think it will 3 points and £60,i thought it was 30mph over the limit,i got caught doing 61 in a 40 (middle of know where )and got just the standard.

Concur with donutman - up to 25mph over 3 points £60, 25-30 over 6 points £'s big, over 30mph over look out !!

One of my mates was done for speeding and it was his first time. They offered him the option of points or attend a driving class day. He payed £95 for the privelidge !
Cant remember how fast he said he was goin !

just that I got stopped by police with radar gun 6 weeks ago doing 96 in a 60 and still waiting for my summons (can take upto 6 months) I'm convinced its gonna be 6 points and £300+ fine....you lucky git !

it was one of the mobile camera vans that caught me and i was not in the scooby but wifes TD5 discovery, suppose i could claim that the car was not capable of such a high speed!

Did you get a NIP { Notice of Intended Prosecution} then or within 14 days? If not, they may have let you off or the director of public prosecutions did, or they messed up some paperwork etc.

It's not under 35 in a 30 to be offered the road safety course, my brother has just been offered it for 36 in a 30, and he didn't sign to form (statement) !

Are you sure it's a 60 limit, were there 60mph signs on the road?

Just a thought in case it's a 70mph stretch.
