A question about speed camera's and being digital

Hi Folks
First of i'm under the impression that digital media is inadmissable in court as it can be played with, now if spped cameras are digital based rather than film based whats the score.

As long as the image is a 'pure' one it's ok. I believe the Digial images are written onto ROM or Optical disk to make sure that the source images can't be changed
As soon as they blow it up, crop it or adjust the colours to find the number plate/driver etc it's invalid.
