#1
Hello and Thank you for clicking.
My girlfriend has just graduated from uni in Supplychain Management and is now in the proccess of looking for a job but having just finished uni she has on experience at all in this field.
Im trying my best to help her so im calling for the power of scoobynet.
If you have any advice for me to pass on it will be a great help. Or if anybody has an example of a CV in this field I will be very graetful (we will not copy it)
Anyone in the west midlands willing to offer some work experience?

just a thought as your midlands based... try the automotive companys or there logistics people... you never know they may be able to help.... just sell it as helping them, rather than helping you ..

I would second that - automotive is a good place to cut your supply chain teeth. Also, if indeed you are midlands based, then you are in the ndc (national distribution centre) capital of the UK! Just drive around Lutterworth, Rugby, Tamworth etc and check out all the global brands' UK distribution centres located there. Make a note of the names and fire off letters to each of them.
If your gf has no experience then highlight the key parts of the degree in her cv. Employers would value the benefit of applying some world class theory to what can be a fairly primitive area.
Hope this helps.

... and check out the companies at Bardon business park in NE Leicestershire (J22 M1, Coalville)
you've got supply chain centres for for Nestlé (TDG), Canon, Hays, Nissan, Toyota, Omega Securicor, Benson Box, Wiggins Teape and GM2. plus you've got the DHL & UPS centres at East Midlands Airport.
good luck & all that ...
