Two minute post amnesty at 11am?

I will be doing nothing at 11am. All those millions that gave their lives for us and the future generations and some people cant spare two minuites out of their lives once a year - makes my blood boil.

I'm up for that.
When I was younger I was assistant manager of a shop. 11am rolls around and everything goes quiet. Then halfway through this bloke comes up asking me how much spark plugs are for his Cortina. Everyone in the shop glared at him and I threw him out
It annoys me that people just don't think anymore.

Delighted to see how many feel like I do about the two minutes. I still remember all the cars stopping and people getting out for the quiet time. Quite a debt we owe to all those people.

I was in London last week and had to endure the tube from Euston to London Bridge (& return).
I was a disappointed by how few people were wearing a poppy. I know we have all races and religions living here today but it's the efforts and lives of our armed forces that achieved our freedom (IMHO). I wore my poppy with pride all of last week

Some **** rang the office whilst we were observing the silence, could't believe it!
I haven't seen any poppies for sale round here, there have been various stories about them not being on sale due to the risk of pin ****** and that they encourage war....ffs

Bob there was a report on the news last week that sellers were now standing in sight of store security as a war veteran had been mugged and his collection tin stolen.
Got a lump in my throat just thinking about how the guy must feel. Lost mates in the trenches for someone to be able to do that!!
