2 families taking part in the ITV show, holiday showdown. the glass family (2 parents and 2 grown up sons)enjoys camping in england, drinking, walking, going to the beach, and sometimes going to caberet in the evening. the theodore family (2 parents, 3 grown up daughters and one young daughter) enjoys flying to hot places (in this case borneo) 5 star hotels, sitting by the pool relaxing most days with the odd journey out. the theodore family (fairly well off, you could maybe call them posh/stuckup) hated camping, constantly looking forward to their luxurious holiday, the glass family (not so well off, you could maybe call them common) were more game for a laugh, the lads got drunk and a bit out of control, and were more able to enjoy both holidays. which family are you?

I'm a Bit of both really.

Always go abroad (cheaper, less rain, blah blah etc.) But like to do stuff rather than just sit by the pool.

Unless I'm hung-over from doing "stuff" the night before...in which case a day by the pool is perfectly acceptable

Have had a few fantastic holidays in tents and whizzing up mountains, even though I could have afforded much more.

Firmly believe that if you're just going to sit by the pool all day and not go out and see the place, there's **** all point making a 28 hour flight to Borneo.

Borneo - Nice beaches - good weather - 28 hour flight - £500.00 per night
Canaries - Nice beaches - good weather - 4 hour flight - £500.00 per week (family of 9 with 73 extra kids.)


If you are going to lye at the pool, go to the Canaries and post me the other 3 grand ya snobby bastid

have done both, dont mind doing both. mixing it together is the best bit.

Agree with Ipski1 - both holidays appealed to me for different reasons, I wouldn't have minded doing either!

Those snobby gets were such a bunch of tossers it was unreal. If they were decent parents they would have at least looked like they were enjoying the camping instead of moaning like kids.

And how patronising were they about the other family not having much money

That Bourneo break looked very boring IMHO - they went on about going to see other cultures, then spent all day sat in a hotel complex

**** heads - I know which family I would go away with if I had to choose between those 2. That young posh bird that kept moaning was a complete hag.

Still enjoy roughing it, and the freedom it gives you. If you don't like the site, the neighbours, the arera, the site owner etcetc you just pull up and move.

Certainly campers, at least they made an effort to enjoy the other holiday and tried to make light of the whole situation, the other family were going out of there way to make snotty comments.

I went camping once..... its cold, damp, cramped, uncomfy, noisy BUT..... you can get some nice fresh air, sleep under the stars (almost) and **** in a field knowing you're not the only one doing it.

Out of all of them the only decent person seemed to be the girls father, he seemed more down to earth and had a sense of humour and not too up his own ***.
