I am after getting a god chain – but want to make sure what I buy is what I want.
Is there any place on the net that shows the different designs of chains?

Have you tried the address of the shops, such as Argos, Index and the jewellery people? They all shuold have websites.
I personally find going into the shop itself is better as your sure to get what you really want. I'm after one myself too.

Argos and most high street stores won't have much of a selection though will they.
Mostly figaro's and rope chains.
What kind of links/size do you want. If you're going to wear it all the time try to get 14carat. If you want something a bit special look for antique sites.

Well U have to admit the gold chains are sort of 'out of date', just get a stainless one, not medalion style just a short one, also it depends on your dress sense.
(I don't wear tracksuits etc!)
