Don't think it's Tiff, he didn't seem too confident driving the BMW for example . Tiff tends to oversteer etc.
Anyone think it could be the same stig but in different racing gear ?

No it isn't!
I was told by a delivery driver who dropped something off at my work that he'd been at the place they film at (Crandley I belive its called) earlier that week and had chated to the guy playing Stig and he'd told him they where gonna change the look of the guy for this series.
Anyhoo, Needell works for Channel 5!

Stig is for my money, who ever they hire that week to be "The Stig" from a pool of racing drivers from the different championships in the uk

Its the old Stig rebranded to keep internet forum members guessing.
Perry McCarthy signed to do 3 series' of Top Gear, and then possibly move onto being a presenter on the show.
How nice is that M3 CSL!! The noise!! and that carbon fibre roof skin is sooo trick.

At a recent 'Evening with Perry McCarthy' he said he is NOT doing it anymore. He cited part of the reason due to the bad press he got over that 'priceless' historic Jaguar he drove.

Rumour in my neck of the woods is that it's David Leslie - yes, he of Proton BTCC fame (well, maybe not fame...).
Absolutely not Perry.
And yes, the word is that whoever the new chap is, he's not getting near the old Stigs times. Compare the commitment on the GT3 lap in the wet to the Z4/Boxster/S2k laps - by comparison it looked like my mother was at the wheel.
Although it could be Linda Effing Barker. She's doing everything else on TV at the moment.

Dapster are you sure??????
The new stig set the same time as a 4WD 911 turbo in a lesser powered 2WD GT3 both in the wet!!!
Committment does not always equal fast lap times, the fastest drivers are often the smoothest and non exciting.
Take Jean Alesi for example, hugely committed for the most part, but not particulary effective in F1.

That was a different, slower Stig I reckon. Though I still believe they pick from a pool of drivers, hence the 'disguise'
And showing the 'Stig' lap with some tacky music playing in car ala dead Stig. per-lease that is sooo last series Did they fit a radio into the CSL specially
