yep, close the doors when u aint using the rooms. its all down to the training in the begining, my parents car aint allowed upstairs let alone in the bed room, every now and then it'll try to walk outta the front room into the hall, dad doesnt even move he just says where u going and it turns round and comes back. thats it all down to the original training.

Agreed. When my cats used to live in my ex's flat they weren't allowed in the kitchen. If we ever left the kitchen door open, they would sit, just inside the door with their tails still outside the kitchen. All we had to say was "Uh!!! I don't think so" and they'd be out, instantly.

Just train the cat, it's easy. I've got 4 well trained cats.

If you are asthmatic then you shouldn't really be keeping a cat

Take it to the vet and get rid of it!

Put one of your daughters old t shirts or a piece of clothing in its bed (or wherever you want it to sleep). 9 times out of 10 it will go for the scent of that. If you shut the door then it will claw up the carpet, so the item of clothing of your daughters will help it to sleep somewhere else comfortably without wrecking stuff.

After a while you will be able to leave your daughters door open and the cat will go wherever you put her old piece of clothing (hence wherever you want it). Cats respond to smells that make them feel safe (thats why mine are always outside once i have had a curry )

Worked for us with 2 different aged cats.

I laughed at it when a friend told me, but i wrapped the bed in one of my old t shirts and that night the cat was snuggled up on it and didnt move till the morning when he was hungry !!!

im asthmatic and have 2 cats.

both like sleeping on our bed but If i've left a jumper or something on the floor then they both go for that instead.

only other option is to shut the doors to the rooms you dont want the cat to get in.

We gave our cats away when this started happening, the cats are happier too as they get full attention now of someone with time for them, which they didn't really get cos of the children. You might find the cat is sleeping on the childs bed as its jealous, I know ours were.

Grab cat by scruff of neck with left hand.
make fist with right hand and place firmly behind cats rectum.
pull back with left hand and thrust forward with right fist at same time.
Watch cat turn inside out.
Feed cat to lovely pet dog for supper.
Give cat skin to Wifey to make a nicr pair of warm slippers.

You no asthma, no dirty linen, dog well fed and you have feet as warm as toast.

Everyones a winner

[Perv mode on]

So next time I want some ***** to sit on me, I just wrap an old Teeshirt around my face/waist/groin and wait for something to come up....

Try a 12 gauge with a #6 cartridge. It works every time.

Apples, Think yourself lucky M8 the local cats sit on my bloody bonnet just above the turbo to keep warm. I am always finding little cat like footprints all over the car and just after I've washed it to.
