I need a BT line purely to get ADSL across it. After not having a BT landline for the last 4 years can anyone tell me what the standard BT line rental is i.e. no special price plans etc? Had a look on their website and cant see any specific per month/per quarter charges.

Simon.

You can get one for £11.50 a month if you pay it by direct debit (£12.50 if you pay normally)

The absolute basic is 9.49 per month, nothing but the line rental included.

I had the same dilemma, I wanted the cheapest line rental just to run an internet connection. After failing to find anything online I called the homesales line (150). They initially offered me the £11.50pm line, but I pushed and they eventually admitted you can get a line with everything stripped off as regards bonus calls etc etc for £9.49pm which I paid monthly by DD.
