Just wondering where is the best place to mount a r/detector on the front screen?? ie.top centre dashboard / windscreen,rear view mirror height?? drivers side dashboard corner ?? any differance as far as signal pick up is concerned ?? anyone else use the snooper s5r ??

Yet to see any online / press reviews off the " blackspot" laser only detector, anyone read a review or actualy own one ??

If it's a radar detector, it's not as critical as it it were laser/radar combined.

A laser detector should be as low as possible since the number plate is often targeted. Therefore, suggest you mount it in the centre of the dash, as low on the windscreen as possible, yet without being blocked by your wiper blades.

If it's a radar-only detector then it's not so critical, as it's not so 'line-of-sight', so you could mount it off-centre.
