anyone know of any place where you can get these things zapped without having to p*ss about going to your GP first? I have one on my finger and it's starting to seriously annoy me. I have tried all the over-the-counter remedies and they don't work.
I try to avoid going to my GP as it's too expensive to hire my own translator.

Angle grinder.
I had a few as a kid.I had the first one frozen off,2nd I used the little bottles that turn them white and kill them and lastly I hacked the little bleeder out with my swiss army knife. It bled a bit and I don't really reccomend you do this if it's a big one(mine was a baby).

Is it on a finger - if so hit it against something hard, table, wall etc.. just so its painful and not agonising - do this every so often 10 times at a time for a couple of days. This cause swelling within the wart, cuts off its blood supply and kill the ******. I've only ever has two and got rid of them both this way. If its on your bell end I would try something else.

pete - i have been applying bazuka and filing my finger with a nail file for nearly a year now. the local chemist thinks i am a cross-dresser on account of how many emery boards i have purchased. about 2 months ago i got bored of this and burnt the thing with a soldering iron. when the not incosiderable carnage had cleared up the bl00dy wart grew back 3x as big.

A mate of mine had one on his finger when he was a kid and he used to wet the end of a match and apply the sulphur to his finger and let it dry. He did this s few times a day for a couple of weeks and it went.
........and we where never short of a light around the back of the bike sheds.
again i wouldn't recommend applying this to your hampton as it would bring a whole new meaning to being red hot in bed and imagine the bush fire
<thinks this has potential as this would give a good need to give a golden shower if this happened>

I had a tidgy likkle one on my index finger for years. Finally succumbed to Corradogirls persuation and got the doc to freeze it off. Low and behold, it vanished, and appeared on Corradogirls finger the following week. LOL LOL LOL LOL

I see corradogirls name has stook.
Back on topic, a visit to the GP might be the best way or find out where they are doing a day drop in surgery type thing if you don't like going to see your GP.

Try some concentrated sulphuric acid. Should burn through it nice.
Seriously though when i was a kid a had one on my palm after coming in contact with something. I got a knife and a pliers and pulled it out. Took me too days to do experiencing agonising pain lots of blood but the bugger came out eventually. The root on it was about an inch long. lol!!!!!!!!

Old wives tale - Nick a piece of meat from the joint (raw) without anybody seeing you -this is important .Rub the wart with this piece of meat and then bury the meat .As the meat rots in the ground so the wart will disappear.
If it dont work - liquid nitrogen .It removes skin cancers so it will surely remove a wart.Dont use on helmet though!

Go on a shoplifting spree in Saudi Arabia, just make sure to get caught. They'll sort it out for you, free of charge.
Or otherwise, pick up the phone and call your nearest dermatologist...

You can buy wartner in Boots and it works a treat (a piece of dry ice dipped in liquid nitrogen is even better ). You have to use it much more than it says on the tin though. Freeze that wart till you can't stand it no more (at least 3-4 minutes)it will go totally white if you have frozen it enough and it will ache like a f**cker when it defrosts. Do this every day for 3 or 4 days and it should drop off after a week. If it doesn't do it again the following week. I did five on my own hands like this and only the biggest one took two treatments. I've also done two people who work in my lab with good results. Admittedly these were all with liquid nitrogen dipped dry ice but I have used wartner on my wifes verruca (same thing as a wart just doesn't grow out cos your stood on it all the time) and it seemed to work just as well.

mj - if i was an indian, or maybe an armenian, i prolly wouldn't need a translator. i think the last uk trained doctor left east london some years ago.
thanks for all the tips - i've been banging the offending growth against the steering wheel whilst stuck in traffic all morning and it's made my finger a bit sore, but i think i'll give this wartner stuff a try.

Get some of the tiny wart plasters from boots.
They genuinely do work.
I had this hoooge ****** on my index finger and after using the plasters for a week I found myself picking big chunks of skin off my finger every time I got out of the shower!
They left a big cavern where the wart used to be but this grew back normal after another week or so!
