Buffy - R1 and R2 DVD box sets?

Just considering getting the box sets (DVD) of the Buffy series, and had a butchers at the prices. Average price for the Region 2 (UK) ones is about £60. Yet the Region 1 (USA) box sets are all priced at £35!! 
Has anyone bought the US version(s)? And are there any differences in terms of content? I assume the episodes are the same...
