The N.Wales forces own Arrive Alive scheme caught 102 police vehicles speeding last year. In 82 cases they were on Emergency calls(Yeah OK), but a further 12 were charged and fined £60.
Thats 94 then if my maths are right. What happened to the other 9 I wonder.
A spokesman for N.Wales police said
"We are often asked if there is one rule for us and another for everyone else. These figures prove that isnt the case.
The Chief constable has described speeding drivers as anti social and criminals. Just like his own officers then.
Chip.

what about the law which allows police on duty to speed if they wish and be free from prosecution, even in non pursuit/emergency situations. Apparently a plod used this not widely used law and got off scot free from magistrates after being flashed at 36 in a 30 area.
