Another Scoobynet challenge!

I need an IRR calculator that is:
- standalone i.e. not one on someone's web site
- easy to use (as I don't class myself as particularly financially-aware, although I do understand the basics of IRR - I think)
- freeware/shareware

The project is buying an asset with up front costs involved, regular income and outgoings and a disposal value

Anyone help???

Excel is the best way - use the XIRR formula if you don't have many entries, or a cashflow with the IRR formula if you do. The help on excel shows you how to do it.

I didn't bother looking in Excel.

Thought it would be far too complex a calculation to code myself in Excel as it's normal solution is by trial and error..and just assumed that there would be no way that it would be a Excel standard function
