Noticed on the best album thread that some of you chaps like It Bites / Francis D.
Like you all, seen him quite a few times in both guises. Fantastic entertainer and superb guitarist/song writer!
For me:
Best It Bites song - Calling all the heroes (first one I heard and love)
Best Frankie song - American Life in the Summertime (just picks you up)
Best album - Fearless (just superb album)
Bloody hard choosing your favourite from his material, isn't it LOL!!
Whats yours?

Damn
very difficult to choose, I like far too many to have one single favourite track
I would probably go for Wounding & Healing of Men live
or Too Much Saturn
The last Gig I went to in Oswestry was fantastic, Dori on Backing vocals was awesome
I probably listen to Tall Blonde Helicopter & Man albums more than any other, and play a few tracks on guitar myself (albeit not very good )
Best It Bites song for me is probably Once Around the World

Calling all the Heroes was one of their early songs, and every thing they did after that was so much better
It was only ever written to get them into the pop charts, which it did,

I hadn't heard anything since "Heroes" so I've just had a listen to a couple of clips from "Helicopter" on iTunes Music Store. Never liked "Heroes" and the newer stuff is no better, so I have nothing appreciative to contribute. Sorry.

I'd go, Eat me in St Louis and Tall Blonde Helicopter. Never seen him live though. Anyone see him on a TV series about the great unsung Guitar heroes? C4 (I think), about 15 years ago. Tremendous technique. Jerry Donahue was on too.

<CONFESSION> A saw It Bites at the Hammersmith Odeon way back in 1984 when they supported Go West 8-o </CONFESSION>
Thought they were alright. I seem to remember a song, I think it was called "Screaming on the Beaches", which was quite good !
Andy.

Francis - if its any clue, I was in my youthful Yngwie Malmsteen (more notes per pound) phase of life. I really didnt appreciated Frankies subtleties .........he wasnt fast enough, nor played enough pentatonic scales at warp speed

Wasn't Max Martin (Britney / Backstreet Boys etc songwriter / producer) in It Bites?
Always thought it was funny that he wrote and demoed "Hit Me Baby ..." as a soft-metal Rainbow or Whitesnake song.
