Not up there with the greats of Sci-Fi Horror (Terminator, Aliens etc) But a pretty good contender as I remember it (CD on me desktop)

I saw it at the cinema. I diddnt think it was as bad as the critics were making it out to be. I thought it was pretty good

That's nice to hear. 'tis a cracking family movie. Always watch it when it's shown. It is a shame about JC, but I am doing my bit to keep his memory alive.

Yep I have UncleBuck on DVD. Love it. Especially that scene where he makes giant pancakes with a snow shovel

Fave other John Candy film is Planes, trains and automobiles with Steve Martin. Bloody brilliant.

I do love the film and was saddened to hear of his demise, I can remember where I was, walking back after a night out and missing a taxi, stopped in the petrol station for munchies and it was on the telly.

Wasnt so keen on Cool Runnings though....

I had the DVD in my hand in HMV and for some reason put it back Must track it down again. Cool Runnings, not his best.

What was the one he did with Dan Akroyd on vacation in a log cabin? That is quite fun too.

I thought Pitch Black was great - the intro (ie, first 5 minutes) must have taken up most of the budget though. Take a look and you'll see what I mean!
