Seriously though, I lost 3 1/2 stone from January this year to May by doing the following:
Joined gym, slowly built up running from 2-3K's upto 10K's at a time on the treadmill, routine slowly panned out into the following:
Monday : 6:30am > Weights (Shoulders/Back)
: 5:30pm > 10K on treadmill
Tuesday : 5:30pm > 50 mins in total on Cross Trainer/Cycle/Rower
Wednesday : 6:30am > Weights (Chest/Abs)
: 5:30pm > 10K on treadmill
Thursday : 5:30pm > 50 mins in total on Cross Trainer/Cycle/Rower
Friday : 6:30am > Weights (Arms)
: 5:30pm > 10K on treadmill
Saturday : Whatever time and whatever cardio I felt like doing
Sunday : Rest Day (Also eat more or less what I want)
I also changed my diet to be low fat with lots of protein and make sure he gets carbs with every meal.
I am also eating 6 meals a day (small meals e.g. apples) breakfast is dead important.
I also started using a protein supplement for after I've been to the gym.
Lots of helpful advice on the forums at [http]"www.affordablesupplements.co.uk"Affordable Supplements[/http]

Ooooh yes! He's such a babe! That is how Mr Dog wants to look! He's pretty much there in his natural physique but he's just got to lose the gut and rip up!!

Looking that ripped is mostly down to diet. Of course having good muscle mass and definition underneath any fat is a must, but you need to get rid of as much fat as possible between the muscle and skin.
Everyones got a six-pack. Wether you can see it or not is diet related.
Get him running and doing circuits (press-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, etc..) for starters. He can start lifting weights if he'd rather build muscle that way. Depends if he wants to look fit or be fit
If he's not ran in donkeys, start off slowly. Say 15-20mins twice per week. Then after a few weeks, do it 3 times. Then after a few weeks more start adding an extra 5-10mins every few weeks from then on.
Running puts a lot of stress on the legs, so start off slowly to avoid injury. Also run on grass or something soft and it'll work his leg muscle much more than a treadmill.
Don't run too fast otherwise he'll just burn carbohydrates and not fat. The runs should be at a nice steady pace where he can easily hold a conversation. Aim to build on time rather than speed or distance. The run itself should feel easy, it's afterwards when you sit down that you should feel knackered.
Long, slow runs build stamina, endurance and gets the body burning fat. Save the faster running until well into a routine.

He even looked fit in Kalifornia!! I think he's just a good looking bloke!! As far as body is concerned, I prefer blokes to be muscular and smaller. Arnie muscles are not a turn on!! Anyway, other half don't want to be big, just get rid of gut (which I have managed to force on him with my cooking!!!) and get muscular and fit!

Simply buy a copy of Body for Life and do his routine for 3 months and you can look like that. It's depressingly hard at times but look at that picture each day or every time you fancy a beer, chips, kebab etc and remind yourself that it's only 3 months of your life which goes round bloody quick and in no time at all you'll be looking very good.
Even better, if you've got the bottle and want some peer pressure post a photo up of yourself in just your shorts now(no gay comments please) and then say you will again in 3 months time to show the difference and i guarantee you'll work yourself to death in the gym. Just think of all the female Scoobynetters that will be after as well!!!

Good info as ever from Ozzy.
Start slowely, don't expect instant results and keep at it.
No need to do any silly diets IMO but maybe trim a few things out. Have one sarnie instead of two at lunch, maybe ditch the cake at lunch time.
Just got to burn much more than you eat. I'm down from 18 1/2 stone to 14 st 5lbs through sweat and effort at the gym I walked (well scrambled/climbed) up Tryfan in Snowdonia last weekend and haven't felt this good for years. I felt like I could have ran off the mountain

might be opening a can of worms but i've been on the atkins thingy for only two weeks and for the 1st time in a long time i can make out my abs...just .
the foods u can eat suit me down to the ground ie lean meat, eggs, cheese (loads of protein). i feel way better for doing it. not sure if i've lost weight cos i dont bother with scales but i know my clothes are much looser etc.
atkins might be worth a try plus moderate exercise?

Well done Chris
I'm doing the Ridge in Glencoe this weekend with some friends. One of the ridges I haven't done yet in Glencoe, so I'm really looking forward to it. Fingers crossed the weather's going to be kind.
Just to compare how much calories you burn here are a few examples of some of the sports I do regularly:-
1hr Weight Lifting - 600 calories
1hr Badminton - 800 calories
1hr Circuit Training - 850 calories
1hr 5-a-side football - 1000 calories
1hr Running (avg. 8mph) - 1300 calories
3hrs Mountain Biking - 2000 calories
7hrs Hill Walking - 5000 calories
The fitter you are the less energy you need to expend so looking back over the past year the above figures were a good deal higher
So, if you want to lose weight get out on the hills or at least start running.

here's the "magic" formula for pure fat loss, preserving your muscle...
- 500 calorie a day defecit from your rmr calorie requirements spread over 5-6 meals a day (breakfast is imperative) spaced evenly apart
- light to moderate cardio (60-70% of your max pulse) 2-3 times a week for around 20-30 mins each time
- heavy lifting 3-4 times a week, with correct bodypart splits
- eat as clean as possible.. lots of protein.. keep carbs in your diet.. but only low gi ones (so lose potatos, white bread etc).. and make sure you're taking in enough good fats (oily fish, flax etc)... start with a 40/40/20 diet and experiment.
- rest plenty (sleeping for 8 hours a night is best) and don't overtrain (have at least 1-2 days a week where you're not doing any exercise).
- expect to lose 1-2lbs per week.. this will be pure fat that's coming off, not muscle. it's likely that you'll lose around 5lbs in the first week due to water retention however.
that's all

What about a regime of bonking
Just 5hag as much as you can, wherever you get the opportunity. Obviously he needs to do all the work (Which I imagine would suit you down to the ground ) but then, you become directly involved with the regime, you get plenty of humpin and he looses weight.
Sounds like a plan, I'm off to try it with my missus
Mikey <Wonders what to call it, maybe the humpkins diet >

I have to hand it to Brad he has a good body. Something I would aspire to. His 6-pack in Thelma and Louise is what I'd hope to achive one day..... before middle age spread hits!

Mikey,
there's plenty of fat porno stars. I'm afraid ******* just doesn't cut it. Good excuse for the other-half though
Although, does she really want some fat, sweaty bloke pounding away or Brad Pitt?
If you're not into lifting weights, then you can achieve the same results following Milo's advice, but doing lots of bodyweight exercises (press-ups, sit-ups, dips, etc.) and you don't need to spend a fortune on gym memberships. Just look at the physiques of your average boxer.
