The worse i have ever heard, they sound like a old man on a organ in your local club on a sunday lunch.
surely some one can give me a better sight where the tunes are more realistic.
Thanks chel xxx

Depending on your phone, you might be able to use a standard midi file as a ring tone. You might need to reduce the number of polyphonc channels though to make it decent.

Quote: "Polyphonic tunes... erm... isn't that just like listening to a CD?"
From the sound quality of my mates' phones... erm no. Sounds like the sh*te MIDI files that your old PC played about 8 years ago. Not exactly great. Suits some tunes, like the stuff Jean Michel Jarre used to churn out... but not much else.
Not sure if the newest models can handle WAV files though.
Seems like a gimmick to me anyway - a phone is for telephone calls... and let's face it - in about 10 years time, medical research will confirm that they give you cancer. So, why spend anymore time on them than you absolutely have to?
I hate them, personally.

Bit of a double edged sword really.
If you find a free site, they usually pass on your number to anyone who wants it.
You could always try Nokia where a polyphonic tones costs £3.
Failing that all the providers offer tones on their own sites.
Dave.

LOADS of great ringtones on this site and all TOTALLY FREE.
All you have to do is listen/choose your ringtone, log in to www.d1m.net using WAP and input the code from the website.
I downloaded about 10 polyphonic for the cost of the WAP call.
