Hello

So I'm finally losing my hair at the front and at the temples. Mainly due to the fact they I gave up on Regaine as it was keeping my hair, but I was getting allergic to it. Propecia appears not to be working...

Anyway, the question: I need to have my hair cut, and need some suggestions as to how to have it cut so that it looks okay! Having it all off is not really viable as I present for a living, and I don't want to scare my students too much....

Suggestions, and pictures welcomed!

Thanks,

Steve.

Don't **** about mate - have it all off.

Well not as in shaved - but as in very, very short.

If you try and hide it, your "students" will just take the pi55.

D

(Guard off clipper cut all over )

BTW - I also present - if you are good at it, it won't matter how short your hair is

Some men are cursed with baldness, if mine ever starts dropping out I'll get rid of the lot. Nothing worse than a comb over, even a rug would be better than that, or maybe not.

Gradually cut it shorter until you reach the stage were you're shaveing it youself then it's less of a shock to you and everyone else. Paridoxically once you shaved it off you stop worrying about hair loss. Just be brave about it.

Anyway the "down to the wood" look is cool. Think of all the cash you can save on haircuts, just get some clippers.

Off with it all. Mine went at the ripe ol age of 21 (cheers grandad) When my then hairdresser mentioned it, i said shave it off, looks better than it looking all thin. Everyone now ribs that my hair is getting a bit long(when i dont shave it for a few days)rather than your going bald. My mates son only know's me as Uncle Baldy he dont even know my correct name, i dont mind. Baldy is my common nickname now. the ladies like it too, they cant help but touch my silky dome, leads to endless flirting and sexual double entenders and more.

Ditch the Four Foot Fringe, They look ridiculous, as do the Oliver Hardy half cut look. Just cut the lot off or have a grade 1 for a while, then shave it off completely, give them a few days and they will have forgotten what you look like whilst thinning out. Its no big deal nowadays and there is not the stigma attached that was there then. I'm fortunate that I have 90% of the hair I had 20 years ago but I keep it really short as long hairs just agro.

Steven Berkoff = class act.

Imagine what he'd look like with a Rab C. Nesbitt Walnut Whip and mullet down the back.

I like men with shaved heads!! My fella has shaved his head for as long as i've known him (usually clippers without an attachement but sometimes with a razor) I think it looks so much better than going thin on top.

Cut mine myself with clippers and no guard every 3-4 days or so. Much smarter than long baldy hair

Have to disagree slightly.Loads of my mates are going bald and shave their heads totally. It looks awful.Try a number 3 or 4 and see how you go from there.

Go for a 3-4 shave then dye the hair blonde and put in some leopard spots. Looks great on the barman in Slains Castle (Aberdeen) - but he is about 19

Still - I think your students will like it - everyone else of course will think you're a complete tw@t - it's up to you

Project ST:

Well, I might not smile.

If I see someone who is walking along smiling all the time, I would like to think that they have looked deeply at life and discovered the joke. But unfortunately I think it's usually because they are crazed psychopathic wackos...

A friends brother started losing his hair at 15!!!

At 16, he lost most the hair around the temples as well as on the crown!!!

To make matters worse his hair grows (in places ) in tight curls!!

There was only ever one hair cut for him!!!

Grade 1 all over!
