Just recieved notice of intended of prosecution for 85 in a 70. What can I expect?

 

Fixed Penalty - £60 3 Points.

 

Loads of people on here saying how wrong it is...

 

get a lawyer...you is going down.

 

Expect your luck to change.

thanks for your support guys... by the way I am absolutly sure I was doing 80 because my mate behind me was when his detector went off as we passed the van in the layby. either way it is speeding...

Anyhow so will they send me another letter with the Fixed penalty on it?

Well i was travelling at pretty much the same speed, and i didnt slow as much because i was trying to shield the front of my car behind TC's. Anyway, back to the point, when i glanced down at my speedo as we went thru it was on 80.

Their camera doesn't sound very well callibrated to me - that or the distance it snaps from is pretty far, i.e. before we slowed.

It was a dual carriageway in Wales. We were in convoy en route to a trackday (late)
