Yes, I am shouting.
ONLY go with escrow.com - there's a forum buried deep within e-bay that goes into escrow scams and the like. But to cut a long story short, the US version of Which? looked at 300 online escrow companies.
9 weren't scams.
291 were nothing more than ripoffs. You get a mail telling you the money has been deposited, you send the goods and...nothing. Even better, they may well now have your bank details (if you elected to accept payment by CHAPS as well) so you're in deep kim chee.
Seriously, don't risk it. been there and got away by the skin of my teeth (thanks to a warning off a different list I'm on).
