PS2 repairs ???
#2
Hello
Have a look at the back of Computer and Video games, or have a search on google.
I got mine repaired for £50, but that was a long time ago when they were retailing at over £200. It must be much cheaper now?
Steve.

What's wrong with it? If you've spilt liquid over it it's quite an easy repair (if you don't mind invalidating the warranty).
A mate of mine accidently spilt wine over his and it went pop, bought another one and gave me the busted one. I took it apart and found a Mosfet transistor had blown (it's almost always these that go) and a 2 amp quick blow fuse. I replaced these 2 components for less than £2 and now have a fully functional, cheap PS2. If you're gonna throw it out anyway it might be worth having a go at repairing it yourself, I'll even give you part numbers from Farnells and (probably vague) instructions.... You just need to be good with your hands when taking it apart .
Mail me offline if you need help. Oh and BTW, I work for an electronics manufacturer so have access to the right brains and resources in the first place. I'm quite dim really
