free texts from abroad do they work ?

Have a text saver deal, going to Germany for a week ,
Will I get charged for my so called free texts or does it only apply if in the UK
Service Provder is Orange

I am on Genie (now o2) and mine were free from Lanzarote, Crete, Italy and France. Sadly, they are going to start charging to send texts now (not sure about other networks), I would check with your network before you go!
