As it is still over 30 degrees here and relentlessly sunny I can confirm that summer is alive and well down here in France.
Apparantly it's usually over mid 20's well into November.

I reckon, being the cheery fella that I am, that there is only one month of the year that is mildly depressing, and that's January.
Christmas and New Year festivities are over, you're on yet another diet, that you know will only last until February, it's fecking cold (and rarely snows either!), and there's absolutely no sign of Spring.
February onwards is much better.

Yep I go with that.... I can take any temperature s'long as its sunny as well.... grey skies are a bummer.....but point taken... we are indeedy moving towards longer days again... the never ending cycle of seasons...can't beat it really ! ... you guys have cheered me up no end...TA !
I spent quite a bit of time on the other side of the "pond" where it was sunny for 95% of the time. In the end we all got very bored with the weather and were looking forward to seeing some rain and an apparent change of season again. Depends what you are used to I suppose.

oh i cant wait.
sitting indoors snuggling in a blanket eating lots of nice warm comfort food...yummy.
even better when its a sunny autumn day and you can go walking out in woods and the leaves have all fallen.
oh and dark nights means you can get up to all sorts outside without being noticed
hehehe

We'll thaw out some time in late March/early April. But look at it this way - not long now until the days start getting longer again
