Got alot of people interested in a group buy.

Just wondered if anyone recommended a company. Best deal is £325 but I've got alot of people interested and I reckon it should be lower.

well i've got a company called "Rightradar" to do a deal, there basically promising me then can beat any deal, I told them £310 and they said they'll beat it.

Might be the fact I promised them alot of people.

If anybody wants to be included in this group buy, just let me know.

the order will be for the end of next week.

Not really directly relevant, but I arranged a group buy on the new Origin B2 last week - got it down to £340 in the end!

I know the seller has some left - not sure if he'll sell at that price again though )but if you don't ask you don't get!

As an aside - I'll be selling my (2 month old) road Angel soon.

How can I sort out the payment for the group buy?

I need to have a guranteed number of people with payment. They want me to do a bulk order but I'm not sure how I can as I need everyones money and I dont think people are just going to give me their money. Any ideas?

Recaro, YHM.

As in my mail, I am deffo interested as long as I can specify the stand alone modem option (I'm Mac based) and the cost is around £300 (+30 for modem?). I've opened a thread with a link to here asking for advise about the money problem.

Regards, David.

the only sensible way is to get everyone to pay with plastic, then each individual rings the company with there details, failing that everyone sends you a cheque payable to you then you send a 1 off check on behalf of the group payable to the company, alot of trust involved as you can imagine, but asking people for there card details for you to pass on to the company is prob a non starter IMHO.

forgot to add that when i organised the groubuy on TEK3 remaps i provided all the names & addresses to BRD which then allows them to acknowledge correct people involved in the buy & kept out stragglers who were too late to be involved, you have to make it as easy as poss for the company involved or they will get pished off with you

good luck

Question

Recaro - This thread seems to have gone a bit quiet. Is it gonna happen?

I'd be up for the option of you supplying name & address to vendor and then I contact them with payment details.

Unhappy

I think Recaro has given up on the idea as most of the people he initially had interest from before posting here let him down. He did email me with a link to this supplier who do them at £335, which isn't a bad price. Unless anyone else knows any better.
