Safety.... boll**ks revenue and keeping the numbers up. Maximum targets of opportunity. Totally wrong.
I live near this and it is simply a cash cow as far as I can see creating loathing of the police who are victimising normal driving on a wrongly speed restricted road, a few hundred yars away it is 40! Everyone including the local police drive 40-45 along this stretch, drive at 25-30 you would be more lkely to cause an accident with someone going up the back of you.
Use these cameras sensibly as tools to slow people near schools etc and I have no objection but like this is just a sad sick joke.

Can these cameras do you both ways or just oncoming trafic ? As for it being 40 up the road what makes it worse is thier is a hospital close by aswell.
