Say i was following 2 other cars at about an indicated 80 (dual carriageway) and there was a camera van in layby. The cars infront noticed it (as did i, but it never occured to me it was a camera van - as i am not used to them where i live), and slow a bit - i got closer to the back of the car in front too.
Do we know what sort of angle they operate at? I.e. was the car infront obscurring me do you think? I managed to get the gap to under a car's length.
If only i hadn't stuck my front plate back on, insurance renewal is next month

If you really were doind an indicated 80, then I shouldn't worry to much. My road angel says i'm only doing 74 at an indicated 80, and most cars speedo's are probably the same percentage out.

Giblet , yes it does.
Chip, yes I agree, but remember thats to allow for speedo error, if you were actually doing 79mph your indicated speed would be nearer 90 mph!
