Talking

After many years of smoking I have finally given the killer weed up
Went to see some guy who advertised in the local paper, paid him £195 and now I am not smoking I still when stressed want a cig but it is bearable and I understand that it will pass once I relax, and it has been 4 days and so far so good.
I had tried in the past just stopping but I still had the mad craving for them and would become very irritable and would start smoking with-in 24 hours.
If anyone is in 2 minds as to if they could stop smoking give Hypnotherapy a try, at first I was not sure but once the system was explained to me it all made sense. I was then put under but was fully aware of everything going on and then my subconscious did all the hard work.
I'm currently in the process of getting divorced and if I can stop smoking now, then I know that I will never smoke again This is so good it should be on the NHS as it would save the country billions.

Well done for giving up whatever method you use.

As CB said giving up will cost but it will be US - the taxpayer who pays one way or another.

STi-VII - off-topic, but did everything work out ok in the end? Assume from what you said you've faced up to things and are moving on, which is great to hear if that's the case..

Telboy the divorce is not what I want, I have and will continue to try and stop my wife from splitting from me. She has agreed to go to Relate so we shall see where that takes us. If she still wants the split afterwards then there is nothing I can think to do to change her mind. I want her to be happy and if that means not being with me, then I shall have to let her go even though it breaks my heart to say it

Thumbs down

paid him £195
Oh dear, oh dear

Good luck with the stopping though...will make it a good deal easier for you

One session with a registered hypnotherapist/psychoanalyst should cost circa £30-£45 and these non-smoking dudes are just jumping on the bandwagon...

Sorry to be thick but why will he cost the NHS more if he stops smoking? If you took smoking related problems out of the NHS there'd be a lot more resources for those who haven't brought their problems on themselves.

Sti VII None of my feckin business at all this but ... now that you are convinced of the benefits of hypnosis maybe you and your wife could try it, alongside going to Relate, for the marriage stuff as well. Has to be worth a try.

It's obvious

He stops smoking and lives to a ripe old age requiring elderly care, hip replacements, hearing aids, prostrate thingies, colostomy bags etc etc

Where as, if he keeps smoking, he'll get a quick blast of lung cancer, heart attack or thrombosis or whatever and will be dead by 50 and therefore save the NHS a fortune in the long run

Obligatory Disclaimer
PS Joking..... and no offence to anyone suffering any of the above conditions that I make light of

Not only that but smokers pay one of the highest tax's on ****. If more people quit, then they have to find other ways to get money that they would normally get from smokers paying for overpriced ciggy's!
