Anyone running an LPG car?
#2
converted my Audi 80 to run on LPG - fantastic, half price fuel!!
Converted it myself with a kit bought from the internet for about £300 - quite a straight forward job to do. A pro would charge about £1000. No real difference to the car only that its lost a bit of performance, but for the money I'm saving, I'm not too bothered.
Let me know if you need to know anything else

I think the reasons more people dont run lpg are
1 the bomb in the boot !!
2 they think the government will just put the price up possible but not likely
3they are stupid
4 rip off installers
i have 3 cars running lpg including my scoob have been using it for 2 years it is much cheaper better for the engine less oil changes as it doesnt get dirty i could not go back

Dad runs his mondeo on LPG. There's plenty of places to fill up with it now, though he says prices vary quite a lot. Apparently places on industrial estates are quite a bit cheaper that garage forecourt prices.
It can cause a problem with the valves on some mondeo engines (dad found out the hard way). He's had an oiler fitted now, and the problem hasn't resurfaced since.
John.
