Has anybody been to Cala'n Forcat in Menorca ??

What's it like ??

Never ever been to Menorca, to be honest not that sure where it is - don't do hot'n'sunny places much. But I did want to say that I too am going on my holidays next week, to:

Edinburgh for some fringe nonsense with my mates Dodger and Stembo which is
Then to Aberdeen to see the Numptie which is even more
Then to Tobermory which is even even more

because for sure it is the best place in the whole world.

Is turning into a regular SN fest north of the border - am up there with my better half in a couple of weeks. Bit fo Fringe nonsense then lots of whisky and a few lochs!!

We came back from Menorca just over a week ago. I really liked it, v. hot.

I went to Menorca years back. It's very nice - like Mallorca but more ickle.

Beware though... if there's a river / stream nearby, pack your mosquito cream. I was bitten to **** when I stayed in Cala Galdana (I think that was the place).

Oh yeah - if you get the chance to do the trip to Mahon (the big natural harbour), then do it, as it (usually) includes a tour round a liqueur factory, and there are dozens of free samples to neck!

I did the same as you years ago, but without the bites, fortunately the river had tried up so no mozzies. The gin factor is worth seeing.

When I went it was definitely a quiet holiday resort and it was a struggle to find a bar open after midnight. Cudadela (sp) was much nicer than Mahon.

I'm sure that Forcat is where the big windsurfing and sailing centre is. Prob the best place to go.
