Our 5 year old house has a Powermax 155 boiler which I have never got around to servicing for one reason or another. The whole site has the same boiler and many have had huge problems with it.
Mine is problem free, bills are low etc.
All the local plumbers are too busy to service, don't turn up when I take a 1/2 day off work etc etc.
One eventually turned up today and said he could not service it as the gaskets that are consumable when it is serviced are too difficult to get hold of!
Two other companies said they wouldn't touch it.
The housebuilder is unhelpful.
The gas board want the pipes changed at a cost of £1500 and a system flush for £700 before they will even touch it on a maintenance plan, but I am sure they would try to rip me off just to service it if I asked them.
Some have had their boilers totally **** up after servicing.
I'm inclined to leave it alone since it works and just get a CO monitor!
Suggestions please.

If it keeps doing the business you should be alright. The one problem I have had in the past with boilers is the exhaust side getting blocked, oil fired ones are the worst and eventually you will get an excess of CO. If you can get at the chimney side of things and vacuum the dust out it might be worth doing.

Yep, check the CO but if it keeps working and CO is within limits then don't worry.
The only problems I've ever had with boilers in either of my houses has been the igniter circuit, which used to pack up every two years or so, but if yours is lighting OK, leave it alone.
