M4 - New Speed cameras just gone live...

BE AWARE.....
Siemens have just finished the installation of 'average' speed cameras on the M4 between Reading and Swindon.
These tiny new cameras take a picture of your number plate and note the time you passed. Then, further down the road, another camera does the same thing and calculates your average speed. This new system then 'automatically' forwards your details to DVLA via a direct link where you are then sent the fine and endorsement direct to the address your vehicle is registered. Over 100mph average speed results in your details being sent direct to PC PLOD for prosecution.
The cameras are hidden in the funny little 'sign post' type poles by the side of the motorway.
You have been warned.

FYI - if you go on the M4 west you'll have seen the new small message
boards - as I understand this is where these new speed cameras are...
A new speed trap system has been installed on the M4 between Reading
and Swindon.
Cameras have been inset into small pillars placed periodically along
the motorway and these will measure the average speed between them.
They are linked directly to DVLA.
We supplied the number plate recognition cameras for the contract so
feel fairly certain it's real......!!!!!
The system came into effect on 14th July - so beware!!
