Speeding!

Just had a NIP through the door!
Standard 3 points and 60 quid fine, did not see the Van, must have been very sneeky.
It has not been sent by recorded delivery, so do I just ignore it and hope it goes away or send it in with a cheque and my licence.
Any advice?
Thanks
Scott

I've been told that if you fill in the details but dont sign it, then it is inadmissable in court (some sort of loop hole in the law). However if you dont fill it in at all then they can do you for "failure to identify the driver" under section 172 of the road traffic act. (& they do turn up at your door )
I dont think that they can force you to sign as this could be argued as a forced confession...
I dont know if this loop hole has now been closed but it may be worth a try.
Good Luck

Complete the form as requested BUT, BIG BUT do not SIGN it, there's no LAW (as yet)which says u have too.
there's a girl at our office already on 6 points, she been sent 2, yes 2 NIP's, told her same and they just keep sending them back to her to sign. bit like a game of tennis..ha ha, she's really pi$$ed though cos both are on same road and both times she was doing 34 in a 30, if she admits to these i think a 30 day ban is on the way as she will have 12 points, and what happenswhen u get 12 points ? yes that's right u get a bike....

My mate says "Get someone to take the rap for you, £200 is the going rate... ask your mates or your grandpa who is now 90 odd but has a clean licence cos he don't drive."

Si- Yup, you lost me but I'm having it analysed later
Dazza- Trust me, get a picture and send it, my monitor will cope.
I've just got rid of 6 points this month so if anybody wants to start the bidding i'm up for another 3.
