Bans as a whole(or suspensions)

OK just a question for you guys
If you were banned from doing something, in my case Tenpin Bowling(yes you can get banned) for whatever reason. In my case 12months, it has been 20 months now and i still havent been given a membership card back so i can play in tournaments, how strange is this? I did something wrong at the begining of the ban which i didnt know was wrong which could have slowed this down, but it is really strange.
If you got put in jail for 12 months they cant jsut say ok after 20 months you can go...
this british association will not reply to my phone calls, Emails or letters, and solicitors dont like getting involved cause it is a private association, it is just p*ssing me off!!

Ok sorry should have explained a bit better, there is an association (the BTBA) which you have to join to get a license to bowl in tournaments(for money) and to bowl abroad and earn.
I bowled for England and went away alot to different tourneys, pretty good at one point, some guy said the wrong thing to me and i threatened him(best friend of a director in the BTBA) which probably in hindsight wasnt the best thing to do. TO get reinstated they have to have a reinstatement meeting, which they wont tell me what they are doing to get this to happen, i hear nothing.
