Origin B2 vs Road Pilot vs Snooper S6-R Neo
#1
Having a quick look around the net to see which is best but can't make my mind up.
Origin B2 - http://www.radarexpress.com/origin_b2.html
Road Pilot - http://www.radarexpress.com/roadpilot.html
Snooper S6-R Neo - http://www.radarexpress.com/snooper_S6-r_neo.html
Those of you who have tested these what are your thoughts - which is best?
Also, where's cheapest to buy them?
Andy.

I had this same dilema....
I opted for the Road Pilot and I am very happy with it!
I got it for £400.
IMO it is the best one on the market right now and it is also dateless as it is software based.

Snooper is good, I have had mine for 6 months now and am happy with it. With built in modem you update database weekly or whenever you want. When approaching fixed speed measurement systems or cameras you will receive early warning. Whatever you buy it won't tell you where the mobile vans are as these operate from a microwave system which cannot be detected, you can of course add the common locations used by the Police to you own database in the machine. The radar detector pert will pick up laser scatter, however, only if there is any, so if you are the only car around at the time the first you will hear is when you are hit and therefore 'nicked'.

Well it is software based.... so Morpheous can just change/update the software to still incorperate the unit. They plan to add Sat nav to it in the future and also some further features like accident blackspots and frequent speed gun sites.
As a result it will stay dateless as you can always upload the new software.
Hope that answers your dateless question....if you want one for 400 I can get it but you'll need to email me.

Dazza012, I have the S6 R Neo with radar / laser detector. I am sure the others are similar in performance, of course we all think the one we have got is the best. Have a look around the various web sites, keep asking questions and make your mind up with the most information possible.I am now looking to add a seperate laser jammer to go with the set up, but would really like to find a unit I can transfer between vehicles. At the end of the day, nothing will detect VASCAR, or the mobile vans which use microwave technology. Be careful out there!

Hi all,
I purchased a Snooper S6-R Neo a couple of weeks ago. I'm mainly impressed, but have a couple of issues with it that neither Snooper nor radarexpress.com seem bothered about. They have my money, so they're happy. Hopefully some of you guys can shed some light...
At the same time the GPS side of the unit has detected a fixed Gatso, the RLD is supposed to detect whether it is active or not, by displaying a * somewhere on the display. So far, none of the Gatsos in my area have caused this to happen. This means that either the RLD isn't working, or NONE of the Gatsos in my area are active. And I know all about the "only 1 in 12 are active" statistic, but there are at least 25 different ones I've been through, on various roads, at various times of the day.
Also, the display's great. If you happen to have the eyes of a hawk, combined with night vision....

The_Judge may need to get some spectacles! Or locate the unit better in the car! Seriously though, I have set mine up using the window bracket and it is on the right corner of the dash, can see it at all times, check you have the back light switched on as well.
I have never read the bit about live Gatso's, so you may have taught me something there, i'll go and read the book tonight!!!!

Gooner, maybe I've got a duff then! The display is nowhere near as bold as pictures I saw on the 'net whilst researching, and also on the box the thing came in. Unless the sun's shining on it. Which is kinda useless for night driving! And yes, the backlight's on.
The * thing is something I found out about in an article review. Check it out...

The_Judge, there was a problem some while back with a batch of these which had poor displays, give them a call and see what response you get, they will almost certainly replace it with a new one.
