Strength
Good timber does not grow with ease, the stronger the wind, the stronger the trees.

Shame the theory doesn't apply to one's legs. I have skinny legs, yet the amount of wind that has blown over them over the years, one would expect more of them.

Phobias: I recall an episode of Naked Video where the Welsh loner Shadwell, was telling the tale of his visit to the psychiatrists.

Shadwell said he was afraid of the ground.

Shrink: "That's ridiculous. Why not have a phobia of something sensible, like heights?"

Shadwell: "It's not the height that kills you, it's the ground that does that."

Question

Wasn't it in one of the Hitch Hikers Guide books that Arthur Dent says he doesn't have a fear of heights, just a fear of depths?
