Driving to SVA Test

Hi All,
Silly question , i know im allowed to drive the car for its MOT but is it the same for the SVA test, i ask as ive got 40+ miles to go on the M4 and im a bit worried with no number plates.

According to this site http://www.robbiegibson.co.uk/sva1.htm you can drive it to the station as long as its got adequate insurance.

The form should be completed and returned to Swansea with the payment. They will then forward the form to the relevant Testing station, who will then forward an appointment for testing. Providing the car is insured, it can be driven to the Testing Station for the test to be carried out.

Yes you can... if you can find the bit on the dvla website where it's stated, it's adviseable to print it out so you can show it to any plod that might happen to pull you for not having any plates on. Apparently that's what the kit car guys do.
