I want to get me Dad something special for his 50th on Sept, and he has mentioned he wants to do a rally driving course for a day or a weekend. Are there any that people recommend ? Weekend one would be better.

A few of us went to the Phil Price one a couple of years ago. Quality. You get ages in the cars (Mark 2 Escorts) on a big muddy-field / track where you learn to powerslide (into a wall in my case )
Then you get a drive in a Cossie round the forest stage, and Phil takes you out for a high-speed ride (high as in your head spends the whole time pressed on the ceiling of the car) round the same stage.
There's a competition, and usual trophy etc. Best bet is to go stay in a local B&B the night before.
I loved it - quality entertainment, very informative and great fun.

Bill Gwynnes at Turweston Airport, about five miles from Silverstone. There is also a rally school just opposite the main entrance to silverstone. I did a one day course in a Group N Impreza Turbo at BG's..very good day, excellent instructor.
