Last year was OK, I first went back in '95 and it just keeps getting bigger... The Alexandra Palace bash was the best, totally mad... wildest of them all... the Earls Court dos' were a little too dull and gave one a miss...
Jools Holland was cracking last year and the Tom Jones impersonator was better than the man himself...

PS, there is nothing 'sado' about free booze and free entertainment.

The event, organised by Skybridge on behalf of Vodafone, was attended by nearly 11,500 guests and saw Earls Court One and Two transformed into a giant beach party.
Catered by 1,500 Beeton Rumford kitchen and waiting staff, the event ran up incredible quantities of food including 15,000 bread rolls, 1,375kg of chicken and 1,375kg of potatoes.
Following the dinner the guests enjoyed a variety of entertainment, including a full sized funfair, a comedy and blues club and performances by some of the UK's leading pop acts including The Corrs and Ronan Keating.
In its 18th year, and held at Earls Court for the past four years, the Vodafone UK Ball has become a keenly anticipated event for all the company's UK staff.
Andrew Morris, Earls Court and Olympia Group chief executive was invited to attend the event and commented: "What an incredible event! Superb organisation, great food, amazing entertainment. I was proud to host the event and be a guest."
"The development and production of an event of this size is a yearlong exercise," said Skybridge chief executive Randle Stonier.

Not at all... I was a lone voice that said the 3G licences were a rip-off and that Vodafone should use its muscle to turn its back on the entire fiasco, let the others pay a fortune for the licences and then buy them on the cheap... I was right, nothing newthere then.
I do not 'work' for Vodafone, I have in the past been of some value to them...

Yes 3G licenses were a ripoff but ALL the operators here managed to throw £27Billion at the government for the honour of having a license for WCDMA bandwidth.
How sad they didn't realise they would have to change their hardware, basically all of it, in the process.
O2 have 3G working? Interesting ... Is that the same company who recently knocked billions off there share prices?
