Cahoot come highly recommended. I got 4k credit limit and a 3k loan and I'm a student You have a great amount of control and I would highly recommend them.

Ok, you lot. Which credit card company is the easiest to accept your application? Being a student doesn't help very much.

Capital One are good, but you might get a low credit limit to start with. Also Egg are pretty good...apart from they all put your limit up really stupid amounts sooner or later to encourage you to spend, spend, spend!!!

Dont apply to too many as it'll show your desperate to get credit and go against you....

at the moment even a limit of 250 quid will do

I don't need it for something expensive, just for little things

Egg accepted my application online within about 2 minutes, and immediately confirmed a £10k credit limit.

I applied for a CapitalOne card at the same time, but that took longer - a week for them to confirm address details, and I've got another 2 days for the T&Cs docs to come through. Don't know what the limit'll be, yet.

this link is pretty good.

Egg is quick and is giving 0% interest on transfers and purchases for the next 6 months or so at the moment. But they do give you stupid credit limits. the first time i opened with them i got a limit of £6k!!!!!!
maybe NOT a good idea if youre a student
