Garmin Speed Pilot III

Anybody used one of these/ If so how do they compare to the fixed SatNav systems? Need something to move between cars and this seems to fit the bill. Any ideas on cheapest place to buy and accessories needed?

Garmin have fallen behind Navtman with the Navman iCN 630 which I just bought. Same Navtech maps as used in top of the range Merc and BMWs and its portable.
Pricey but worth it.
Voice commands to where your going and automatic rerouting if you take a wrong turn.
