Hi all,

My PS2 has gone **** up, wont play any discs. Called them up, they said try a lense cleaner, if it doesnt work then call us back. I doubt itll work I have to say, so what are they likely to offer if I call back and say it still dont work????

any experieces>? I here this is quite a common problem

laser assembly, very common there should be plenty of places that can fix it, if you have any probs drop me a mail.

My son tripped over the control cable of a friend's PS2, pulling it off the shelf. I took the cover off and made the drawer shut properly, but then it wouldn't play. We phoned around a few electronics repair shops, they repaired it for 30 quid (Sony wanted a min. charge of 70 to look at it!), and AFAIK it works fine. That was 9 mths ago.

I know a guy in the north west i can put you intouch with. My PS2 was killed after a month or so by a dodgy install by a cowboy. This guy was so honest that he found 1 cable split, replaced it and only charged me a tenner when he could have been dishonest about it and charged for a new laser assembly.

just spent 8 quid on a cd cleaning thing, did it work? did it fck - thanks for the crap advice sony
